Firestone Indy Lights


Started in 1986 and run continuously under a variety of names, Firestone Indy Lights is a developmental racing series sanctioned by the Indy Racing League (the “League”). It is a spec series using a Dallara chassis and a modified version of the 420 horsepower V8 engine used in the Infiniti Q45.

3.5 litre, 180-degree V8 producing 420 hp at 8,200 RPM

The centerpiece of the Indy Lights schedule is the Firestone Freedom 100, contested at Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the “Carburetion Day” festivities prior to the Indianapolis 500.
